Help Our Tutors Help More Learners

McLit’s walk‑in learning center is a busy, welcoming space where adults come for tutoring, support, and encouragement. As an Administrative Support Volunteer, you help keep the heart of our organization running smoothly, making it possible for staff and tutors to spend more time directly supporting learners.
This is a great role for someone who enjoys organizing, greeting people, and creating a warm, calm environment where everyone feels welcome..
Events Committee Volunteers
GiGi’s Playhouse
Fundraising is extremely important to our organization! Through our Events Committee Volunteers, we work out details for our three largest events for the year: 5K Glow Run/Walk, Gigi’s Harvest Picnic, & a garage sale. We would welcome anyone with non-profit, fundraising, event planning experience, or with no experience in these fields, but who are willing to learn. This committee meets virtually for approximately 1 hour. The frequency of meetings depends on how close we are to upcoming events.
Painters Needed for Shelter Rooms
The Women’s Community
The Women’s Community shelter bedrooms are in need of painting! The rooms haven’t been painted in years and need a touch up! Painters will need to be able to get down to paint low, and some will need to be able to get on a ladder to paint higher up. Must be at least 15 years old, anyone under 18 will need to be accompanied by an adult.
Fuel Pack Crew
Fuel for the Weekend
Fuel Pack Crew Volunteers help make sure local elementary students head into the weekend with the nourishment they need to learn, grow, and feel supported. Volunteers gather as a small, friendly team to pack non perishable food bags that are discreetly sent home with students each Friday.
This role is perfect for anyone who enjoys hands-on tasks, light teamwork, and making a direct difference in a child’s life. Every bag packed is a quiet act of care that helps kids show up on Monday ready to learn.
Welcome Center Volunteers Needed
Monk Botanical Gardens
Be the first face guests see when they walk through our doors. Welcome Center volunteers are the heart of the guest experience. You will greet visitors, answer questions, and help members feel right at home from the moment they arrive. If you love people and want to play a meaningful role in your community, this one’s for you!

Are you someone who loves staying active, organizing, and seeing immediate results from your hard work? Join our team as a Donation Intake Specialist!
